  6. The following is important last minute information that was
  7. not included in your user's guide at the time of release.
  8. Please read before running the program.

  11. PRINTER DRIVERS
  12. ===============
  13. If you have any of the printers below, you may experience the
  14. following problems depending on the driver version you have.  You
  15. can check with Hewlett Packard directly for information on how
  16. to obtain the most current or most stable driver files.

  19. HEWLETT PACKARD DESKJETS 660, 660C AND ABOVE
  20. ============================================
  21. Shape Text in Windows 95 will not print correctly.  Hewlett Packard
  22. is aware of the problem and is currently working on a new driver 
  23. version.  You can use the drivers for the 560C for improved results.

  26. INK-JET PRINTERS IN GENERAL (HP,CANON,etc)
  27. ==========================================
  28. Please keep in mind that many of the popular ink-jet printers have
  29. a natural 1/2" margin at the bottom of the page.  You may experience
  30. cut-offs of some designs, specially if you are printing on custom
  31. paper that requires a 1/4" margin.

  34. HEWLETT PACKARD LASERJETS
  35. =========================
  36. - Drop Shadows on text will print out as black, regardless of the
  37.   color selected.  
  38.  
  39. - Text with Color Fills (gradients, etc.) may not print correctly.
  40.  
  41. There are some options you may try that involve the settings for how
  42. your printer downloads True Type fonts.  Changing those settings
  43. for your particular printer may give you better results. Please
  44. consult the printer user's guide for instructions.

  46. ================
  47. COLOR RESOLUTION
  48. ================
  49. For best results, we recommend you run Windows in 16-bit color
  50. (65,000 colors) when using this program.  You may experience 
  51. "palette shifts" in Windows 256 colors mode when changing
  52. paper backgrounds or importing images in 256 colors or more.  Please
  53. consult your Windows user's guide for information on how to set
  54. your color mode to 16-bit color.

  57. USER TIPS
  58. =========
  59. - Use the Refresh Screen (Ctrl+W) command to re-draw the screen if
  60.   you see bits left over while moving objects, or if the color of the
  61.   paper background becomes affected while running in 256 colors.
  62.  
  63. - You can edit fields on the screen by double-clicking on them.  This
  64.   information will be updated in the Personal Information dialog box
  65.   and will be stored with your file when you save your project.
  66.  
  67. - You can insert a "Hard Return" into any text object by using 
  68.   Ctrl+Enter while you are editing. This will have the effect of
  69.   wrapping the rest of the text to a second line, and so on.

  71. - There is a "Line" clipart image included in the clipart collection.
  72.   You can re-size and use this image whenever you need a line drawn
  73.   in your layout.
